Snowplowing Improvements
The snowplowing contractor has responded favorably and significantly to comments made by KPVillas homeowners about snow removal. With the next snowfall in 2026, residents will see new specialized equipment in force. Over the years, multiple contractors have deployed front end loaders, Bobcats, truck-mounted plows, snow blowers, small plows, and hand-shoveling to clear the snow. Invariably, all techniques have upsides and shortcomings alike. Over the years, contractors have

Competing Piles
Both snow and leaves lined the streets as warm weather allowed the KPVillas landscaping contractor to resume the fall cleanup delayed by heavy snow. Piles of leaves and snow. A November 9, 2025, snowfall was the first of a few late fall storms that set back yard maintenance. Many people expected a second landscaping cleanup would occur after Thanksgiving. However, an ensuing Thanksgiving weekend storm disrupted those plans, and remnant snow segued to freezing slush, lea

Stakes and Flakes
The day after Thanksgiving 2025, workers from the KPVillas landscaping contractor installed snow sticks demarcating cement from lawn. The stakes arrived just in time. Stakes mark the edge of a driveway. By Sunday morning, homeowners were waking to a heavy fallen snow that the crew from New Generation had started to clear overnight. Sidewalks and some space in front of garage doors were shoveled by hand. Before sunrise, a plow cleared a single lane for early traffic and eme

We thank Ron and Karen M., who are stepping down from the annual duty, for the great job they've done enhancing the neighborhood entrance. The clearing of tree debris pauses in the winter. Per Sandy, "After this clean up, please note that there will be no more stick pick up from storm damage until spring . If you r

Quick Transition
Autumn became winter overnight, and the landscaping contractor serving KPVillas rapidly transitioned with it. On a sunny November 6, 2025, a line of leaf blowers was wending through the yards. A few days later, on the night of November 9, a heavy snowfall descended on the neighborhood. By sunrise, the streets, driveways, and walkways had been well cleared by New Generation Landscaping and Lawn Care. Unsurprisingly, deep and heavy snow thrown by plows knocked over some mailb

Road Cracks Sealed
Over two days in early November, a five-man crew sealed road cracks to prevent the freeze/thaw cycle from creating potholes. As one worker blew out the cracks ahead of the truck, another applied the heated sealant. The contractor Asphalt Restoration Services describes it as "an asphalt-based emulsion sealer that reduces negative impact on the environment instead of the commonly used, highly carcinogenic coal tar alternative." Asphalt Restoration Services (ARS) workers bl
