Invasive Removed from Retention Pond

Neighbors cut, dabbed, and hauled invasive honeysuckle bushes (and one invasive autumn olive) from around the KPVillas retention pond on March 1, 2023, a first step in addressing issues at the association parcel.

The largest plants made it to the curb, where Miramontes Tree Service ran the debris through its chipper. Thanks to Gilbert at Miramontes for responding to the phone call in less than a day. Many of the smaller honeysuckle stems remain to be removed on another nice day.

Thanks to all who supported the effort. If you'd like to participate in next steps, including recommending native plants and local resources, please contact Chuck Bueter.
