KPVA President Loretta J. wrote about several homeowner considerations as spring approaches in a February 10, 2024, email:
...As you may have heard, the groundhog did not see a shadow on February 2nd, so we are supposed to have an early spring! I know we have enjoyed the spring like weather of the past week. We can cross our fingers that it continues! I wanted to mention a couple of things to everyone.
First, as we approach spring, I’m sure many of you will be considering making some updates to your properties. Please contact one of our Architectural Control Committee members to begin the process of obtaining ACC approval for any changes impacting the exterior of your villa. Our website resources page, linked below, includes forms you can complete to request approval for an exterior modification. It is better to consult the ACC before beginning any changes to ensure there are no issues with the KPVA covenants, rules, and restrictions.
Second, we would like to remind everyone that we now offer the option to pay monthly maintenance fees via ACH. With ACH, you won’t have to deal with the inconvenience of writing checks each month. The form to complete to take advantage of this option is on the resources page of our website.
Third, although the January snow has melted away, and the groundhog predicts we will have an early spring, we should not bank on not having any more snow falls this winter. In the event of snow that requires plowing by New Generation Landscaping, please be sure to park your vehicle(s) inside your garage, not on the street, grass or driveways, if at all possible. (Please recall that parking in the garage is one of the approved rules of our neighborhood.) Please also be sure to move your trash and recycling bins back into your garage after the pickup has occurred. Bins left near the bottom of your driveway for extended periods of time impede plowing efforts and detract from the beauty of the neighborhood.
Finally, I encourage everyone to become familiar with the materials that we have placed on our website (www.knollwoodparkvillas.org, also linked below) as we have attempted to provide you many helpful resources, tips and information you may need as you live in our neighborhood. If you have a suggestion for something else we should include on our website, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me to share your thoughts.
