A new landscaping vendor will provide landscaping and snow removal services to KPVillas beginning October 1, 2023, per the KPVA President Loretta J. She writes in a July 10 email:
"After an extensive review and analysis, the KPVA Board has selected New Generations Landscaping, owned and operated by Pedro Rocio.
New Generations was selected after reviewing several proposals, including pricing and terms, which put New Generations at the top of the list for further due diligence. The due diligence phase included Board members touring other areas that New Generations maintains, speaking with references from those communities, and visiting New Generations’ operations to see the equipment they use.
We then spent significant effort on drafting contractual terms that were acceptable to both sides and address some of the issues we have had in the past. We have signed a 24-month contract period, during which time fees remain level, and there is an optional 12-month extension term. Both the initial contract and extension periods are at more favorable pricing and terms than we currently have.
We look forward to working with New Generations in the future and believe they offer us the best combination of cost, terms and service delivery in the local South Bend area. New Generations does individual project work in the local area (indeed, some of you in the community may already have engaged them for various projects), and so you are welcome to review their website to get a better feel for their work.
If you have additional questions about the new provider, we can address them at the Annual Meeting in September. I would like to take the opportunity to thank Dale D., Don M., Ron M., Jim J. and Curt W., each of whom played a significant role in enabling us to reach the milestone of signing this new contract."
